The Assyrian Language and Culture Trust (ALCT), along with the Assyrian American Association of San Jose (AAASJ) in collaboration with the British Museum present, the 2019 International Assyrian Painting Competition of "Pargona" (Brush in Assyrian). “Pargona” is inspired by the exhibition, "I am Ashurbanipal, King of Assyria, King of the World", which is currently on display at the British Museum.
We invite all the Assyrian artists around the world to take part in this competition and share their artistic vision in line with the theme of the exhibition and the special event “Living Assyria” that will take place on February 22, 2019 at the British Museum in London.
The deadline to submit artwork is February 4th, 2019. The three winners will be awarded cash prizes.
